Top 5 Android Screencast tools

Android screencast tools allow you to view the screen of your android mobile phone on a computer. Some tools even support input controls from computer to phone(which often requires ‘rooting’ your phone). For android developers, these tools come in handy to present and demonstrate their app in front of an audience.

Before installing these tools, make sure you have done the following things.

  • You have JRE(Java Runtime Environment) installed in your PC. If not, download and install it from here.
  • Make sure Android SDK is installed. If not, ┬ácheck this.
  • Connect your phone to computer and make sure USB debugging is enabled. (Settings>Application>Development>USB Debugging)
  • Finally, take command prompt and change directory to ‘\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools’ . Type the command ‘adb devices’ and make sure that your device is listed.

Now, you are all set to install any of the below screencast tool. Try out these tools.

There are also some tools available in android market. Check it out, if you are interested
